Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that’s ARVO. Instead of our usual evening show. We’ve decided to reset and hold the Opening Parade at 12.30pm outside the Aviation Museum hangar, rather than inside, in Alice Spring’s glorious winter sunshine. Yes, I know, you folk from cold climes are having trouble believing you’ll need your sunglasses…but it’s true.
The marketplace will be open from 11am where you can give your credit card a run and pick up your gorgeous unique Sustainable Couture piece and enjoy a coffee/tea and cake before the Parade or pop around to the Beanie Festival to play and have brunch…Or Brunch@Beanie and then Play@Sustainable. Whichever way, you’ll have a great time.
This year’s theme, “One World – Many Threads’, has designers excited. We are bringing the world together - expect to see some fabulous pieces featuring, Boro, (traditional Japanese stitching technique – see link below; diverse nationalities showcasing their talents as well as some of the growing ‘family’ whose work you’ve anticipated every year.
